Olivia Wilde is riding the wave of strong reviews for The Invite, but already has her next film ready to shoot next month. And now, she has found her two leads. Deadline reports Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage will star in Naughty, a holiday comedy that Universal has dated for November 5th 2027 after it was first announced in 2023.
Described as “Bridesmaids in the North Pole, Naughty stars Aniston as Mallory, whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing.
Dinklage will play Santa Claus. Seriously. Not one of Santa’s helpers, but The Man himself. Ho ho ho.
Cocaine Bear writer Jimmy Warden penned the screenplay, and if Naughty is anything like that film, it’s going to be insane.
Aniston can be seen right now in a small but funny role in Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass. Dinklage has been busy with Roofman, Macon Blair comedy Idiots, and the Olivia Colman fantasy film, Wicker.
Naughty is Wilde’s fourth film behind the camera. Booksmart remains a hilarious, brilliant high school comedy. Don’t Worry Darling was maligned by scandal and bad buzz, and was pretty much doomed from the start. The Invite is Wilde’s best so far. She’s set a very high bar.
