Geezus, remember Guy Ritchie’s action flick In the Grey with Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, Eiza Gonzalez, and Rosamund Pike? The film has been in limbo since filming wrapped back in 2023 (!!!), with Lionsgate acquiring then relinquishing distribution due to delays in post-production. Black Bear Pictures decided to release the film itself and has finally set a date for April 15th.
Written and directed by Ritchie, In the Grey centers on two extraction specialists tasked with planning an escape route for a female negotiator. There’s some other stuff going on involving a ruthless despot, a billion-dollar fortune, and a fight for survival.
Also in the cast are Kristofer Hivju, Fisher Stevens, Carlos Bardem, Michael Vu, Emmett J. Scanlan, and Jason Wong.
Ritchie and Cavill are frequent collaborators, having worked together on The Man from UNCLE and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Based on this new trailer, In the Grey is definitely in their wheelhouse.
