The gigantic, Hulk-sized ensemble of Avengers: Doomsday will be missing one key component: the Hulk himself. Mark Ruffalo, while doing press for Crime 101, confirme to Empire Magazine (via Screenrant) that he will not be in the anticipated MCU teamup.
So what’s up? We know Hulk is going to have a role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, so why not in Doomsday? That much is unclear, but Ruffalo is eager to suit up as the Jade Giant again in the future, saying…
“As long as they keep finding cool things to do with Hulk. It’s given me so many gifts. You know, I probably wouldn’t be in ‘Crime 101’ if it wasn’t for ‘The Avengers,’” Ruffalo said.
There’s a pretty good chance Hulk will turn up in Avengers: Secret Wars, which the Russo Brothers are expected to shoot later this year.
The last movie Hulk was seen in was in the post-credits of 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. After that, he was seen in Marvel Television’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in 2022.
Ruffalo will be seen next in Crime 101 on February 13th, followed by Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31st. Then, Avengers: Doomsday on December 18th, and finally Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17th 2027.
