It’s a Sophie Turner kind of day, apparently! Fresh off our first look at Turner as Lara Croft in Prime Video’s Tomb Raider series, she’s back in a new trailer for Lionsgate’s gothic horror, The Dreadful, alongside her Game of Thrones sibling, Kit Harington.
However, Turner and Harington aren’t kin this time around, they’re lovers. The film is a remake of the 1964 Japanese horror Onibaba, updated to medieval England where two women living on the outskirts of society are cursed by the arrival of a knight with whom they share a past.
The film is written and directed by Natasha Kermani (Abraham’s Boys), and co-stars Marcia Gay Harden, Laurence O’Fuarain, and Jonathan Howard.
SYNOPSIS: Experience an unnerving Gothic tale of horror reuniting Game of Thrones stars Sophie Turner and Kit Harington and featuring the Academy Award®-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden. Set in medieval England, Anne and her domineering mother-in-law Morwen struggle to survive on the outskirts of society. Lionsgate will release The Dreadful in theaters on February 20th.
