January is only a month away. That’s prime Jason Statham time! And that means now is the perfect moment to drop the new trailer for his latest action flick, Shelter, from the underrated director Ric Roman Waugh. This looks like classic meat ‘n potatoes stuff from The Stath!!
You won’t believe this, but Statham plays a man with a haunted past (!!!) in Shelter. A recluse on a remote Scottish isle, he rescues a young girl at sea, unleashing a deadly series of events that force him to confront his turbulent history in order to survive.
Shelter is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, quietly one of the best genre directors around with such films as Angel Has Fallen, Greenland, Shot Caller, and Kandahar.
Joining Statham in the cast are Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet), Naomi Ackie (Sorry, Baby), and Bill Nighy (Living).
SYNOPSIS: On a remote coastal island, a reclusive man (Statham) rescues a young girl (Breathnach) from a deadly storm, drawing them both into danger. Forced out of isolation, he must confront his turbulent past while protecting her, sending them on a tense journey of survival and redemption.
Black Bear will release Shelter in theaters on January 30th 2026.
