It’s a pretty good time to be a megastar dropping a huge concert movie into theaters. Following the massive $261M success of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in 2023, Billie Eilish and James Cameron (!!!) have teamed up for Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D), an immersive concert experience hitting theaters in March.
Eilish and Cameron dropped the shocking news of their partnership earlier this year. The duo is co-directing the concert movie, which charts Eilish’s latest blockbuster tour.
SYNOPSIS: Captured during her sold-out world tour, “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D)” brings an innovative new concert experience to the big screen from one of the most celebrated and successful artists of her generation. Presented in immersive 3D, the film is directed by Academy Award winners James Cameron and Billie Eilish.
Eilish has already won a couple of Best Original Song Academy Awards for No Time to Die and Barbie. Cameron has won three Oscars for Titanic, and scored four nominations for the first two Avatar films.
Cameron won’t have to worry about Billie Eilish stealing any thunder from Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opens December 19th. Paramount Skydance will open Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D) on March 20th 2026.
