The Daniels are back in Universal Pictures’ future plans. THR reports the duo’s anticipated follow-up to Everything Everywhere All At Once will hit theaters on November 19th 2027. This comes after the untitled film was pulled from the schedule and its previous release date of June 12th 2026, which is now held by Steven Spielberg’s UFO project.
So what’s this mysterious movie about? Nobody seems to know anything, as it remains shrouded in secrecy. The Daniels, aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, inked a long-term deal with Universal back in 2022, so there was never any danger of them going to another studio. However, rumors have swirled of creative difficulties causing a delay in the new film and its temporary removal from the calendar.
Since the wild, Best Picture-winning success of Everything Everywhere All At Once, the Daniels have stayed relatively quiet. They directed an episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew for Disney+, but nothing else. The likelihood is that all of their attention is focused on this next feature, because expectations will be through the roof.
