‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ Duo Set New Event Film For Summer 2026

A year after Everything Everywhere All At Once became the popular and critical darling, winning seven Academy Awards and earning a record $143M for A24, the film’s directors, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (aka The Daniels), have lined up their next film for June 12th 2026.

What do we know about it? Well, nothing. Other than this one is set up at Universal, after The Daniels inked an exclusive 5-year deal with the studio. It’s easy to see why Universal was quick to attach themselves with the duo. Their film previous to Everything Everywhere All At Once was the 2016 cult favorite, Swiss Army Man. In short, they took a big leap forward and their potential to create even greater hits is sky high.

Interestingly, Universal is labeling this an “event” film, which suggests a big blockbuster-type project. It might actually be their way of adding some extra “oomph” to an original Daniels film. Everything Everywhere All At Once became an event movie, but it didn’t start out that way. It grew from word of mouth, until it became the must-see event of the year.
