‘Goat’ Teaser’: Stephen Curry Produces And Voices Sony’s Animated Basketball Comedy

NBA superstar Stephen Curry introduces the new trailer for Goat, appropriately enough an animated basketball comedy from Sony Pictures Animation. Curry also produces and voices one of the lead characters in the film about a teenage goat who dreams of becoming the best in the sport of roarball, basically the animal version of basketball.

The film features an all-star voice cast of Curry, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, Jelly Roll, and Jennifer Hudson.

Tyree Dillihay makes his directorial debut on the film, joined by co-director Adam Rosette.
The trailer looks absolutely gorgeous, proving the visuals in the Spider-Verse movies are no fluke. The footage also features the classic ’90s hip-hop track “I Wish” by Skee-Lo. Pretty appropriate.

SYNOPSIS: “From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ comes ‘GOAT,’ an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world,” per the logline. “The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that ‘smalls can ball!”

Goat opens in theaters on February 13th 2026.
