Leave it to Guillermo Del Toro to take an actor with the physical features of Jacob Elordi, and turn him into a monster. Vanity Fair has dropped our first look at Elordi in Del Toro’s Frankenstein, which premieres at the Venice Film Festival before hitting Netflix this fall.
A couple of the Frankenstein images feature a look at Elordi as the reanimated monster, but there’s still a lot left to be discovered. Judging by these photos, get ready for another amazingly opulent, Gothic horror experience from Del Toro.
Elordi took over the role after Andrew Garfield dropped out, setting back the production for a time.
Also in the cast and seen here are Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Christian Convery, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, Ralph Ineson (Galactus!!!), and Burn Gorman.
SYNOPSIS: “A brilliant but egotistical scientist brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.”
Frankenstein will hit Netflix in November, following its world premiere at Venice and North American debut at TIFF.
