‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ Trailer: The Whitney Houston Biopic Gets Its First Trailer

The first trailer for I Wanna Dance with Somebody has officially hit the internet. In the film’s first look, actress Naomi Ackie completely embodies Whitney Houston. From the beginnings of her career singing in church to the height of her fame, I Wanna Dance with Somebody gives an intimate look at the late singer’s journey and legacy.

Joining Ackie is Stanley Tucci as legendary producer Clive Owen and Tamara Tunie as Houston’s mother Tunie. Harriet director Kasi Lemmons and Bohemian Rhapsody writer Anthony McCarten head the creative team. Sony will release I Wanna Dance with Somebody in theaters Dec. 21.
