‘Gen V’ Season Two Teaser Reveals September Debut For ‘The Boys’ Spinoff Series

It’s time to return to superhero (supervillain?) school! At this weekend’s CCXP Mexico event, the cast of Gen V was on hand to reveal that season two of The Boys spinoff will hit Prime Video on September 17th with three episodes. New episodes will debut weekly until the finale on October 22nd.

As part of the announcement, a teaser was revealed for the upcoming season. We see Hamish Linklater who joins the show as Cipher, the school’s new dean who has dark plans in mind for the school’s curriculum. We also see that this season will recognize the absence of Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson until his tragic death in 2024. Rather than recast the character, out of respect, the showrunners have reworked the story to reflect Andre’s disappearance.

Returning for this season are Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Sean Patrick Thomas, with Hamish Linklater the primary new addition. Michele Fazekas returns as showrunner, with Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Neal H. Moritz as exec-producers.

One of the good things I thought they did with season one of Gen V was crossing over with The Boys without it feeling like you had to watch both shows all of the time. Hopefully that continues.
