Margaret Qualley had a huge 2024, starring in Coralie Fargeat‘s Oscar-nominated film The Substance. While her 2025 is pretty full, as well, Qualley has signed on to star in Love of Your Life, the next film from acclaimed cinematographer and director, Rachel Morrison.
Love of Your Life is set up at Amazon MGM Studios, who had help from producers Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson to acquire the film last year. Details on the story remain a mystery at this point, but we know Morrison will direct from a screenplay by Julia Cox.
Morrison became the first woman nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography for her work on Mudbound. She’s also been a close associate of Ryan Coogler, working on his films Fruitvale Station and Black Panther. Just last year, Morrison made her directorial debut with the boxing drama The Fire Inside, which I spoke with her about in a fantastic interview.
Coming up for Qualley this summer is Ethan Coen’s Honey Don’t, alongside Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans. She also has Ridley Scott’s sci-fi film The Dog Stars alongside Jacob Elordi and Josh Brolin.
