‘Havoc’ Trailer: Tom Hardy Stars In The New Action Flick From ‘The Raid’ Director Gareth Evans

Whether he’s facing supervillains in a trio of Venom movies, or taking on the criminal underworld in the series MobLand, Tom Hardy is always a badass. Now is a pretty good time to be a Hardy fan, because later this month you can also watch him beat the snot out of fools in Havoc, a return to the action genre by The Raid director Gareth Evans.

Netflix has dropped a brutal new trailer for Havoc, showing off the violence that fans of Evans have come to expect. It’s wild to see Hardy in this kind of movie, but he also looks right at home.

Here’s the synopsis: Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.

Joining Hardy in the cast are Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.

Havoc hits Netflix on April 25th!
