If you need someone to explore the eccentricities of billionaires, especially when they’re all gathered together in crisis, then Succession creator Jesse Armstrong is the guy. HBO knows it, and one of its most anticipated projects in May is Armstrong’s feature directorial debut, Mountainhead, which is a film right in his wheelhouse.
Mountainhead stars Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef. Armstrong’s screenplay centers on a group of billionaire buddies who meet up amidst a rolling international financial crisis. Yep, it’s definitely a subject Armstrong knows well.
Also in the cast are Hadley Robinson, Andy Daly, Ali Kinkade, Daniel Oreskes, and David Thompson. Ami MacKenzie and Ava Kostia.
Mountainhead debuts on HBO and MAX on May 31st. Armstrong’s previous big screen writing credits include In the Loop, Four Lions, The Day Shall Come, and Downhill.
