Your next journey to Hyrule will be on the silver screen. Following Nintendo’s $1.3B success with The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023, they quickly announced that another of their all-time greatest titles The Legend of Zelda, would be next. And now today we know when we’ll see Link in his first feature film adventure.
Nintendo and Sony Pictures have announced their live-action The Legend of Zelda will open on March 26th 2027. The news was revealed on the new Nintendo Today app, along with confirmation that the great Shigeru Miyamoto will produce alongside Avi Arad.
We already know the film will be directed by Wes Ball, known for The Maze Runner trilogy and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. He’s a a filmmaker with a great visual eye so we know The Legend of Zelda will look amazing if nothing else.
