The Alien franchise is alive and well, and coming up next after the success of Alien: Romulus is Noah Hawley’s anticipated FX series, Alien: Earth. A prequel set years before the events of Alien, the Earthbound show follows the implictions of a doomed ship crashing to Earth, its crew killed by an escaped Xenomorph.
Over the weekend, Joblo revealed a teaser clip from Alien: Earth, it’s pretty damn cool. The scene shows what appears to be a synthetic crew member communicating with Mother (aka the company) about the dead crew and escaped alien. Meanwhile, presumably the final living crew member pleads for him to open the door as she’s being stalked by the creature.
The series was created by Hawley, best known for his work on Fargo. The cast includes Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
SYNOPSIS: When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.
Alien: Earth premieres on FX/Hulu later this year.
