Good things happen when Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are a team. Coogler will direct Jordan for the fourth time in Sinners, their vampire movie opening next March. It’s been a few months since the trailer debuted, but over Christmas a new teaser was released with some new footage of Jordan in action.
In Sinners, Jordan takes on dual roles as twin brothers Elijah and Elias who return home to start over, only to find that something sinister is waiting for them. The film also stars fellow Marvel alums Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku, along with Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Omar Benson Miller, Lola Kirke, and Jack O’Connell as the villain.
Coogler and Jordan always work well together, beginning with 2013’s Fruitvale Station, followed by the boxing drama Creed, and then in Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever when Jordan played Erik Killmonger. It’s unclear if they will reunite on a third Black Panther movie.
Here’s the synopsis for Sinners, which opens on March 7th 2025.
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
