‘Bring Them Down’ Teaser: Barry Keoghan And Christopher Abbott Star In Irish Revenge Thriller

Barry Keoghan has accomplished a lot in a short amount of time: Oscar nominee, Golden Globe nominee, BAFTA winner, and already one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. Right now he can be seen in theaters in Andrea Arnold’s latest drama, Bird (review), but next up for him is the Irish thriller, Bring Them Down.

Keoghan stars in Bring Them Down with another hot actor, Poor Things and Kraven the Hunter actor Christopher Abbott. The directorial debut of filmmaker Christopher Andrews centers on a bitter rivalry between two farming families that leads to devastating consequences.

Also in the cast Nora-Jane Noone of The Magdalene Sisters and The Descent notoriety, plus Colm Meaney (can’t have an Irish film without him), Paul Ready, Aaron Heffernan, Conor MacNeill, and Susan Lynch.

Andrew has been gifted with tremendous luck in casting his leading men. He had Paul Mescal and Mank actor Tom Burke in the top roles before they were replaced by Keoghan and Abbott. Really, he couldn’t have gone wrong either way.

Mubi opens Bring Them Down in theaters on February 7th 2025.

SYNOPSIS: Michael, the last son of a shepherding family, lives with his ailing father, Ray. When a conflict with rival farmer Gary and his son Jack escalates, a devastating chain of events leaves both families permanently altered.
