‘Spider-Man 4’ Lands July 2026 Release Date, Just Weeks After ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

You probably already saw it, Tom Holland on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon revealing the next Spider-Man film would shoot in mid-2025. I think that story didn’t go further because Holland has loose lips when it comes to this sort of thing. But he wasn’t wrong this time, as Variety confirms Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters on July 24th 2026, just two months after Avengers: Doomsday.

That makes for an extremely tight turnaround for Marvel Studios at a crucial moment for them. The MCU has been struggling of late, but if anything can help Kevin Feige course correct its sure-fire hits such as Doomsday and Spider-Man 4 back-to-back. Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) signed on to direct a month ago.

This news also means that Holland is going to get extremely busy, and he might want to look into getting cloned. He just signed on to star in Christopher Nolan’s next movie with Matt Damon, and that one hits theaters July 17th 2026. You read that right, TWO Holland movies in consecutive weeks cannibalizing one another. Not ideal. It also means Holland is basically going to jump from one film to the next without much of a break.

It’s been three years since the juggernaut box office of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which earned an incredible $1.9B and was Marvel’s last huge hit before Deadpool & Wolverine. The film concluded with Peter Parker wiping any memory of his existence to everyone he loves. With the slate wiped clean, it’s unclear what direction the story will go, or if any of Holland’s supporting cast will return. You can probably count on Zendaya showing up, but what about Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire?

Expect more Spider-Man 4 news to come!
