‘Masters Of The Universe’ Movie Casts Alison Brie As Villain Evil-Lyn

After years of fits and starts, Amazon MGM has actually managed to get the ball rolling on a live-action Masters of the Universe movie. With Nicholas Galitzine set to play He-Man and his timid alter ego Prince Adam, and Camila Mendes set as Teela, Deadline reports that one of the key villains has now been cast.

Alison Brie has been set to play Evil-Lyn, one of Skeletor’s most powerful lieutenants. The role of Skeletor has yet to be filled, but one has to think that will be announced shortly. And come on, they can’t have a movie without Beast Man, right? Bring in all of Skeletor’s cronies, thank you very much! And Ram Man, too.

Directed by Travis Knight and penned by Chris Butler, the film centers on He-Man as he must recover his lost Power Sword and defend Eternia from Skeletor’s evil.

This will be the biggest film yet for Brie, who has been a fan-favorite since her Community days. She’s gone on to star in the wrestling drama series GLOW, and typically features in indie films such as Spin Me Round, Horse Girl and Somebody I Used to Know.

Masters of the Universe opens in theaters on June 5th 2026.
