‘Squid Game’ Season Two Teaser: Gi-hun Is Back To Destroy The Games For Good

One of those shows that kept us sane during the pandemic was Squid Game. The hit South Korean series about a dystopian game show where 456 contestants risk their lives for big money spawned an actual reality show competition, and also a sequel that is finally due to arrive this December.

Hot off of his starring role in The Acolyte, Lee Jung-jae returns as Seong Gi-hun. Having survived the first competition, Gi-hun vowed to get revenge on the Front Man and bring the games to an end for good. Wi Ha-joon and Lee Byung-hun are confirmed to return from season one.

The new teaser doesn’t have any new footage, but it does show that Gi-hun is going to have a lot of company, which means a lot of people fighting to stay alive.

SYNOPSIS: Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the states and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.

Squid Game season two hits Netflix on December 26th, and will once again be written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
