Jenna Ortega Joins Glen Powell In JJ Abrams’ New Mystery Film

Jenna Ortega is moving from one huge project to the next. It’s a wonder she has time to do anything the Wednesday actress is so busy. But she’s found time to someone who is just as busy: Glen Powell. And the project they’re teaming up for we’re not going to know anything about for months.

Deadline reports Ortega is in final talks to join Powell in JJ Abrams’ mysterious new film. With Abrams we know not to expect any details, and for the plot to be shrouded in mystery. Information will be dished out by the teaspoon whenever Abrams feels the time is right.

All we do know is that Abrams will write and direct, with the story not being time travel related. Abrams will also produce through Bad Robot. This will be the first movie he’s directed since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. The last non-franchise movie he directed by Super 8 in 2011.

Ortega has been on fire for a few years now, following a pair of Scream films, slasher horror X, the hit Netflix series Wednesday, and Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The trio of Abrams, Ortega, and Powell has box office written all over it. Hopefully we start to get some details soon.
