‘Midnight’: Rosario Dawson, Alexandra Shipp, And Milla Jojovich To Star In New Action Thriller

Look at this trio of kick-ass ladies assembled for the new action flick, Midnight. Deadline reports Rosario Dawson, Alexandra Shipp, and Milla Jojovich will star in the film from debuting filmmaker Joshua Otis Miller.

Penned by LaMont Magee (Black Lightning) and Jeff Byrd (Yellowjackets), “Midnight follows a young, blind woman (Shipp) as she is hunted by a group of international criminals (led by Jovovich) searching for a package they believe was given to the woman by her federal agent sister (Dawson). However, the assailants quickly realize that the woman, though unable to see, may be far more dangerous than expected.”

Dawson is also a producer on the film, and had this to say: “Without giving away too much, ‘Midnight’ is an awesome action movie, revolving around duty and sacrifice. It’s about coming into your own and embracing your independence, but at its core, it’s a movie about family and that’s what really resonated with me. I’m so thrilled to be a part of such an incredible project with this spectacular cast and crew.”

Always busy, Dawson is currently starring in Disney’s Star Wars: Ahsoka. Shipp was recently one of the many Barbies in Greta Gerwig’s billion-dollar hit Barbie. She also played Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. Jojovich is best known for leading the long-running Resident Evil franchise.

Midnight has already wrapped production and will be shopped around at TIFF next month.
