The action-packed trailer for Long Gone Heroes features a cast that should get everyone’s attention. Fan-favorite actors Frank Grillo (The Purge, Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and Josh Hutcherson (Five Nights at Freddy’s) are joined by Oscar nominees Andy Garcia (The Godfather III) and Melissa Leo (The Fighter), plus Mekhi Phifer (Clockers) and Eden Brolin (Yellowstone).
Grillo leads the gritty action flick as Gunner, a special forces officer who returns to the battlefield to rescue his niece during political unrest in Venezuela.
The film is directed by John Swab, who is collaborating with actors he’s worked with multiple times before. Swab and Grillo have done five movies together, including Body Brokers and Ida Red, both also featuring Leo. Swab and Santiago Manes Moreno co-wrote the screenplay.
Here’s the synopsis: Gunner, a special forces soldier who has witnessed the darkest side of country and combat, is forced back into the field of battle to save his niece, who is being held in South America. As the fight intensifies, Gunner and his team discover that her disappearance is part of a corrupt private operation that hits way too close to home. Acclaimed actors Andy Garcia, Melissa Leo, Josh Hutcherson and Frank Grillo star in a non-stop action thriller that will leave you breathless.
