‘Smile 2’ Trailer: Naomi Scott Is A Pop Star Facing True Evil In Sequel To Surprise Horror Hit

Can a smile truly be terrifying? Well, anyone who has seen the Joker or Jack Nicholson in The Shining knows a smile can shake you to the core. Two years ago, the surprise horror hit Smile creeped people out with an ingenious marketing campaign that led to a whopping $217M box office. And now get ready to flash some teeth, because the sequel Smile 2 is here.

Following the cryptic promo and social media graphics from the last few days, the official teaser trailer for Smile 2 arrives. Naomi Scott stars as pop star Skye Riley who finds herself dealing with the pressures of fame…oh, and also people who keep smiling at her but not in a good way. Kyle Gallner returns as Joel from the first movie, joined by Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Dylan Gelula, Raúl Castillo, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley.

Here’s the synopsis: About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

Parker Finn is back to write and direct Smile 2, which opens in theaters on October 18th, just in time for Halloween. And before you watch the trailer, be warned there’s a huge SPOILER right at the end.
