‘The First Omen’ Trailer: Prequel To Horror Classic Teases The Spawn Of Satan’s Arrival

Many of the classic horror movies from the 1970s have found new life not by moving forward, but by looking back. And the latest to do so is The Omen, as the next chapter will take us to before the beginning with The First Omen, starring Servant actress Nell Tiger Free.

A creepy new trailer readies us for the arrival of the demon seed, courtesy of director Arkasha Stevenson and 20th Century Studios. Free stars alongside Ralph Ineson who plays Father Brennan. Brennan should be a familiar name to fans of the franchise as he was the won who warned Gregory Peck’s Robert Thorn and Lee Remick’s Katherine Thorn in The Omen that their child Damien isn’t just another bratty kid, he’s positively satanic!

Also in the cast are Bill Nighy, Sonia Braga, and Tawfeek Barhom.

Here’s the synopsis: When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.

The First Omen hits theaters on April 5th.
