‘The Kill Room’ Trailer: Samuel L. Jackson And Uma Thurman Scam The Art World In New Dark Comedy

You see Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke in the same movie, and you’d be forgiven for thinking Tarantino had finally decided on Kill Bill 3. But you’d be wrong. They’re instead part of The Kill Room, an art world crime comedy arriving next week.

Directed by Nicol Paone (Friendsgiving), with a cast that includes Joe Manganiello, Debi Mazar, and Dree Hemingway, The Kill Room centers on a struggling art dealer who enters into a criminal scheme with an artistic hitman and his boss. But what happens when their fraud is upended by the hitman’s art becoming the talk of the art world?

This looks pretty silly, but you can’t ignore that cast.

The Kill Room opens in theaters on September 29th. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.

SYNOPSIS: THE KILL ROOM is a dark comedy / crime-thriller about a hitman (Manganiello), his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman,) and their money laundering scheme that accidentally turns the hitman into an overnight, avant garde sensation, forcing the dealer to play the art world against the underworld.
