Zoe Saldana Confirms Marvel Exit After ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is shaping up to be the end of the line. While the franchise could live on, many of its stars, and even director James Gunn, are leaving Marvel for good. Dave Bautista has made no secret that he is finished as Drax, and now Zoe Saldana tells THR that she is also done playing Gamora.

“I don’t think this is the end for the Guardians. It is the end for me, for Gamora,” she said.

Saldana has played Gamora in four films since 2014. The character was killed off at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, only for an alternate version to be introduced in Avengers: Endgame. That version will be seen again in Guardians 3, fending off the romantic advances of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord.

Get ready for a very emotional farewell when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens on May 5th.
