‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ Teaser: A New Kaiju King Rules The Monsterverse

As theaters were struggling in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and reduced ticket sales, Godzilla vs. Kong was a welcome lifeline, earning $470M worldwide. And that was with Warner Bros. splitting its release between theatrical and HBO Max streaming. The Monsterverse is alive and well, and director Adam Wingard is ready to deliver the next cinematic clash of the titans with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

A brief teaser has dropped, and while it doesn’t give away much, it does reveal that there’s a new kaiju king in town. It’s shown sitting on an underground throne, surrounded by the bones of its enemies, before the camera zooms out to reveal the skulls of Godzilla and King Kong!

The film stars Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House, with Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry reprising their roles from previous films. Sorry, Millie Bobby Brown fans, but after starring in the last two movies she won’t be coming back.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire hits theaters on March 15th 2024.
