The ultimate in “fuck around and find out” movies, Fatal Attraction has basically defined how adultery is defined on the big screen. Even if you haven’t seen the film, you’ve undoubtedly heard of Glenn Close’s performance as the unhinged Alex Forrest, her torment of Michael Douglas’ Dan Gallagher who had an affair with her, the poor bunny who ended up up being turned into rabbit stew, and so forth. It’s a classic for a reason, and so Paramount+ has brought it back with a new cast and as a series.
Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan star as Dan and Alex in the new Fatal Attraction miniseries. The story remains the same. A married man’s one-night-stand goes terribly wrong when the woman becomes dangerously obsessed and begins to stalk him and his family.
Also in the cast are Amanda Peet, Toby Huss, Alyssa Jirrels, Reno Wilson, and Brian Goodman co-star.
The series was created by Alexandra Cunningham (Dirty John) and Kevin J. Hynes (Perry Mason), with Cunningham as writer, exec-producer, and showrunner.
Fatal Attraction debuts on Paramount+ on April 30th.
