‘Fast & Furious 11’ Adds ‘Birds Of Prey’ And ‘Cloverfield Paradox’ Writers

Consistency has been a big driver of the Fast & Furious franchise’s success. You don’t see a ton of turnaround in the cast anymore, Justin Lin directed most of the films and Chris Morgan wrote many of them, as well. But as things wind down to a close, we’re seeing some significant changes. For instance, the “final” film, Fast & Furious 11, will have two completely new screenwriters.

Deadline reports that Bumblebee, Birds of Prey, and The Flash writer Christina Hodson will co-write Fast & Furious 11. She’ll be joined by Oren Uziel, writer of The Lost City, 22 Jump Street, and God Particle aka The Cloverfield Paradox.

Hodson was red-hot for a while and was attached to practically every DCEU movie it seems, but that came to an end when her Batgirl screenplay never saw the light of day. She actually has something in common with Uziel, who had a Supergirl movie at Warner Bros. that never got off the ground

They’ll be writing for director Louis Leterrier, who was recently confirmed to return after helming Fast X, which opens on May 19th. No confirmed date for its sequel yet.
