‘Fast & Furious 11’ To Bring Back Director Louis Leterrier

With Fast X the first of an epic two-part finale, Universal and Vin Diesel have chosen the wisest coure of action when deciding who will direct the next film. Basically, don’t change a thing.

Variety reports that French filmmaker Louis Leterrier is coming back to direct Fast & Furious 11. Clearly, Leterrier’s work on Fast X has gone over well, enough that Diesel has signed off on his return to complete what is likely the final movie in the franchise.

Remember, Leterrier was himself a replacement, having stepped in for Justin Lin who quit shortly before the start of production. Leterrier’s resume as an action director is impressive, with Marvel’s The Incredible HulkThe Transporter franchise, and Now You See Me under his belt. He also directed the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
