‘Evil Dead Rise’ Final Trailer Is All About The Glowing Reviews

Following the Evil Dead Rise world premiere at SXSW, Warner Bros. is really eager for you to know about the glowing reviews. That was hardly a given, because taking on Sam Raimi’s legendary horror is a tough assignment for anybody. But it looks that director Lee Cronin has nailed it.

Cronin’s take on Evil Dead moves the frights to Los Angeles, where a woman checking on her sister and her three kids finds herself in a fight for survival against the Deadites.

The film stars Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher. Cronin, who also wrote the screenplay, previously directed 2019’s The Hole in the Ground.

Evil Dead Rise opens in theaters on April 21st.

A road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.
