‘Bupkis’ Trailer: Joe Pesci Is Pete Davidson’s Grandpa In New Peacock Series This May

Sure, Pete Davidson’s upcoming Peacock series, Bupkis, is one of the most anticipated of the year, as it tells a highly fictionalized version of the comedian’s life. But is he really the draw, or is it the return of legendary Goodfellas actor Joe Pesci in his first television series starring role, joined by an all-star cast? I know what has my attention, and it ain’t Davidson.

Pesci, who came out of retirement a few years ago to star in The Irishman, plays Davidson’s grandfather in Bupkis. Edie Falco, Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson, and Chase Sui Wonders co-star in the series with episodes written by Davidson and Dave Sirus and directed by Jason Orley.

But check out the incredible line-up of guest stars that will be making appearances, including La La Anthony. Charlamagne Tha God, Colson Baker (Machine Gun Kelly), Steve Buscemi. Bobby Cannavale, Philip Ettinger, Al Gore, Paul Walter Hauser, Sunita Mani, John Mulaney, Oona Roche, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Jon Stewart, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.

Here’s the synopsis: BUPKIS, a half-hour live action comedy, is a heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. The series will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known.;’

Bupkis will hit Peacock with all episodes available on May 4th.
