New ‘Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One’ Poster Takes Tom Cruise To Greater Heights

Over the weekend, Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick took home just one Academy Award for Best Sound. But the film was undeniably one of the best of 2022, and a popular favorite that drove viewers to watch the Oscars broadcast. And now Cruise is set to hit even greater heights in Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part 1…heights that are teased in a newly-released poster.

The first poster for M:I 7 shows Cruise during one of the film’s most bonkers stunts, freefalling after a hurtling motorcycle while a mountain looms in the background. In a previous featurette, the crew referred to it as “the biggest stunt in cinema history.” We’re so accustomed to Cruise taking his life in his own hands with each film that it’s easy to become numb to it. But seriously, he and director Christopher McQuarrie are always upping the risk and it’s just amazing to behold.

Joining Cruise in the cast are old favorites Rebeca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, and Vinessa Shaw. They’re joined by new franchise additions Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, and Esai Morales as the villain.

Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part I opens on July 14th.
