‘Captain America: New World Order’ To See Liv Tyler’s MCU Return As Betty Ross

Released in 2008, The Incredible Hulk was one of the first MCU films right alongside Iron Man. But since it wasn’t a huge hit (along with a bunch of rights issues), the cast and characters have largely been unseen ever since. That is clearly changing as what’s old is new again and, after making just one appearance fifteen years ago, Liv Tyler is returning as Betty Ross.

THR reports that Liv Tyler will be part of the Captain America: New World Order cast led by Anthony Mackie. The Betty Ross character was little more than a love interest for Bruce Banner, then played by Edward Norton, and the daughter of his foe, General Thunderbolt Ross. Ross is one of the few Hulk characters to be pivotal in the MCU, played by William Hurt for the entirety of the time. That changes now as Harrison Ford has picked up the role following Hurt’s death and will appear in the movie.

It’s becoming clear that the Hulk corner of Marvel is going to be integral to this Cap story, as Tim Blake Nelson is set to return as Samuel Stearns aka Leader, another Incredible Hulk character.
