‘Acidman’ Interview: Dianna Agron On Her New Sci-Fi Drama, Hunting Alien Life With Thomas Haden Church

Acidman might sound like the title of some D-list Marvel superhero, but I assure you it’s anything but. The sci-fi drama from Alex Lehmann stars Dianna Agron as Maggie, who seeks out her estranged father Lloyd, played by Thomas Haden Church, who is living off the grid in Oregon. Together, they begin to mend emotional fences by indulging in his obsession with making first contact with an extraterrestrial race.

It’s a film about people trying to find a human connection on Earth while seeking something bigger than themselves among the stars.

Agron, who is best known for her award-winning work on Glee, joined me to talk about Acidman, sharing the screen with Church and largely improvising their scenes together, as well as her thoughts on whether there is alien life out there in space.

You can check out my interview with Dianna Agron below, and look out for her our review of Acidman. The film opens in theaters and VOD on March 31st.
