2023 Critics Choice Super Awards Winners: ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, ‘The Boys’, And Mia Goth Win Big

Just days after taking Best Picture and seven total Oscars, Everything Everywhere All At Once continued to be showered in accolades. The film topped the 3rd annual Critics Choice Super Awards, winning three total awards including Best Sci-fi/Fantasy Film, and Best Actor/Actress wins for Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh.

Prime Video series The Boys also won three total awards, including Best Superhero Series. Wednesday won for Best Horror Series along with a Best Actress win for star Jenna Ortega. Andor and Stranger Things tied for Best Sci-Fi Series category, while Cobra Kai won for Action. Barbarian won Best Horror Movie, with Top Gun: Maverick as Best Action Movie, and The Batman as Best Superhero Movie. Tatiana Maslany won Best Actress in a Superhero Series for her role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Winning a pair of individual acting awards was Pearl and X star Mia Goth, winning Best Actress in a Horror Movie and Best Villain. While both failed to even earn acting nominations at the Oscars, Tom Cruise won Best Actor in an Action Movie for Top Gun: Maverick, and Viola Davis won in the same category for The Woman King.

The Critics Choice Super Awards celebrates the best in genre, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and action. Honors are bestowed by members of the Critics Choice Awards. Full disclosure, I am a co-chair of the Critics Choice Super Awards and was deeply involved in the nominating process.
