Combat sports lend themselves to a number of intense emotions, which is why boxing and cage fighting movies are so damn dramatic. So what happens when you add two already-intense emotions, like love and revenge, into the mix? Well, you get Perfect Addiction, a new thriller headed to Prime Video next month.
Based on Claudia Tan’s bestselling YA book, Perfect Addiction stars Kiana Madeira as Sienna Lane, a boxing trainer who is the driving force behind her boyfriend Jax’s championship reign as an MMA fighter. Everything seems perfect…until she catches Jax cheating on her with her little sister!
“Sleeping with my little sister is an act of war,” she says.
What’s that they say about a woman scorned? Sienna’s plot is pretty deep, as she hooks up with the one guy she knows can dethrone Jax and bring his empire down, his rival Kayden. While Sienna’s scheme seems to be going well at first, it eventually turns into a complex love triangle that threatens to leave everyone battered and bruised.
The film also stars Matthew Noszka, Ross Butler, Poppy Gilbert, Manu Bennett, Nicholas Duvernay, Bree Winslow, and Ryan Bown. Castille Landon directs from a script by Stephanie Sanditz.
