In less than a week Marvel’s Phase 5 kicks into high gear with Ant-Man 3, but just three months later it’ll be James Gunn’s MCU swansong, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film will mark his last at Marvel Studios since he’s now leading the competition at DC Studios. And based on what we’re seeing, Gunn is going out with a bang.
In what is likely to be the last time we see the team together in this way, Guardians 3 reunites Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as the alternate Gamora introduced in Avengers: Endgame, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as a buffed-up Groot, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista definitely on his way out as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, and Maria Bakalova as Cosmo the Spacedog. They’ll be taking on the villainous High Evolutionary, played by Peacemaker actor Chukwudi Iwuji, with Will Poulter debuting as Adam Warlock.
Guaranteed that nothing will be the same after this one. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits theaters on May 5th.
In Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
