‘Constantine 2’ With Keanu Reeves Is Still Happening, WB Confirms

Good news, Hellblazer fans! Despite rumors to the contrary, Warner Bros. Discovery is still moving forward with a sequel to Constantine with Keanu Reeves.

EW confirmed the news with a WB spokesperson. Constantine 2 is still happening, with Keanu Reeves set to play the chain-smoking occult detective and warlock. Francis Lawrence, who helmed the original 2005 movie, is also returning to direct.

When James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled “Chapter 1” of their upcoming DCU slate, there was no mention of Constantine 2. That opened up the door to rumors, especially since the sequel was announced prior to the formation of DC Studios.

What’s unclear is if the film will be part of the DCU or a standalone Elseworlds title similar to The Batman and Joker. It’s possible we could see Constantine debut as part of the Swamp Thing movie we know is in development.
