‘Shotgun Wedding’ Trailer: Jennifer Lopez And Josh Duhamel Have A Destination Wedding To Save

Jennifer Lopez’s return to rom-coms with Marry Me was a bit of a dud last year, but she’s continuing to try and reclaim old turf, this time on streaming. Shotgun Wedding pairs Lopez with Josh Duhamel (Armie Hammer was initially cast, but y’know…) whose impending nuptials give new meaning to “til death do us part.”

In the film from director Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect), Lopez and Duhamel play a couple who have gathered their families for the perfect destination wedding. But just as they are getting cold feet about the whole thing, a band of armed pirates attacks and puts everyone’s lives in danger. With the guests all taken hostage, the bride and groom must put their fears aside and save the day.

Yes, this sounds silly and looks it, too. Is one of those pirates wearing some kind of weird chainmail?

The cast includes Sônia Braga, Jennifer Coolidge, D’Arcy Carden, Lenny Kravitz, and Cheech Marin.

Shotgun Wedding hits Prime Video on January 27th.
