‘Agatha: Coven Of Chaos’ Directors Include ‘WandaVision’ Creator Jac Schaeffer

Some might say that Marvel’s first Disney+ series, WandaVision, is still the best one. Exploring the relationship between Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch and her android husband Vision using TV sitcom tropes was a brilliant idea, executed beautifully by creator , writer, and exec-producer Jac Schaeffer. So why break up a good thing for what amounts to a WandaVision sequel, Agatha: Coven of Chaos?

THR’s Heatvision blog reports that Schaeffer will direct multiple episodes of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which sees the return of Kathryn Hahn as breakout character, Agatha Harkness. Getting behind the camera is a new assignment for Schaeffer, in addition to all of the titles she had previously.

Schaeffer won’t be alone. Joining her in the directors’ chair is Gandja Monteiro, coming off directing an episode of Netflix’s red-hot Wednesday series; and Rachel Goldberg of Unreal and Netflix’s Resident Evil series.

Along with Hahn, the cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, and the returns of Emma Caulfield and Debra Jo Rupp, who are likely stuck in Westview with Agatha who is trapped in her sitcom persona…for now.
