Taylor Swift Sets Directorial Debut At Searchlight Pictures

Taylor Swift’s musical accomplishments are simply incredible. I’m not going to sit here and pretend her music is for me, but when you’ve won eleven Grammy Awards it doesn’t really matter what I think. She has also made quite an impact in the world of Hollywood, providing exclusive tracks for multiple films, and starring in a handful, as well. And now, Swift has decided to take her movie career to the next level.

Variety reports that Swift will make her directorial debut on a feature film for Searchlight Pictures. What’s it about? No idea, but it will have an original script penned by Swift herself, so that’s something.

Will Swift also star in her debut? That’s another unanswered question. She’s had plenty of acting experience, most recently appearing in David O. Russell’s Amsterdam. Other roles include Cats and Valentine’s Day. Okay, so I didn’t say anything about it being “good” experience.

Swift can’t stay out of the press so expect her directing debut to get so much attention it could become a problem during production.  I can’t wait to see how this plays out.
