Christopher Nolan’s next big studio blockbuster, Oppenheimer, comes crashing into theaters next summer. And as usual for the director, much of what we can expect has been kept a mystery. What we do know is the film will star Cillian Murphy as physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the creators of the Atomic Bomb, and he’ll be surrounded by an incredible ensemble.
We’re now getting a look at some of the talent cast surrounding Murphy, as new images from Total Film feature Emily Blunt as Oppenheimer’s wife Katherine, a controversial figure in her own right, and Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, a rival of Oppenheimer’s.
Also in the cast are Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Matt Damon, Gary Oldman, Dane DeHaan, Josh Hartnett, Kenneth Branagh, Jack Quaid, Alden Ehrenreich, and loads more. Nolan really emptied the Rolodex for this one.
Oppenheimer opens in theaters on July 21st 2023. Expect a new trailer or teaser to arrive soon.
