‘Shrinking’ Trailer: Jason Segel And Harrison Ford Star In AppleTV+ Therapy Comedy Series From ‘Ted Lasso’ Team

Harrison Ford is venturing into television more now than ever before in his career. Already we’ve seen him in the Yellowstone spinoff series, 1923, which is sure to be a hit. But he also has Apple TV+ comedy series, Shrinking, from Jason Segel and Ted Lasso’s Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein.

The first look at Shrinking has arrived, featuring Ford as “blue collar shrink” Dr. Phil Rhodes, with Segel as grieving therapist Jimmy Johns who begins telling his patients exactly what he thinks, breaking ethical barriers and causing havoc in their lives.

Also in the cast are Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Michael Urie, and Tilky Jones.

The episodes were written by Segel, Goldstein, and Lawrence. James Ponsoldt, who worked with Segel on The End of the Tour, is aboard to direct.

Shrinking premieres on Apple TV+ on January 27th 2023, with new episodes airing weekly.

“Shrinking” follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
