Harrison Ford Reportedly Joining The MCU As Thunderbolt Ross In ‘Thunderbolts’ & ‘Captain America 4’

Harrison Ford has joined the MCU! Probably. Rumors began to swirl following D23 that Ford would be replacing the late William Hurt as General Thunderbolt Ross, and now Slashfilm has independently confirmed this to be true!

Ross is expected to appear in both the upcoming Thunderbolts movie and Captain America: New World Order. Ford would take over from Hurt who played Ross a total of five times, first in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, and most recently in Black Widow.

Assuming Indiana Jones 5 is indeed Ford’s last film in that iconic franchise, this is at least one way to keep him under the Disney umbrella as part of something significant. And who knows? He could be the guy to finally portray the Red Hulk on screen.

Captain America: New World Order opens May 3rd 2024. Thunderbolts is set for July 26th 2024.
