‘The Visitor’ Trailer: Finn Jones Uncovers A Doppelganger Mystery In Blumhouse’s New Epix Thriller

The stars of Iron Fist and Mortal Kombat come together to solve a mystery in Blumhouse and Epix’s new psychological thriller, The Visitor! Starring Finn Jones and Jessica McNamee, the film centers on a man whose entire world spirals into chaos after he finds an old portrait featuring his likeness in his wife’s childhood home. Who is this mysterious doppelganger? And what happens when the answer to this riddle is unlocked?

Behind the camera is director Justin P. Lange, working from a script by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes. Joining Jones and McNamee in the cast are Dane Rhodes (The Magnificent Seven) and Donna Biscoe (The Fundamentals of Caring).

This is an interesting role for Jones, who most people know as Iron Fist from Marvel’s canceled Netflix series. Here, we get to see him play a man paranoid over the mystery of this doppelganger, and if there’s some kind of conspiracy against him by the townsfolk. McNamee, who played Sonya Blade in the Mortal Kombat reboot and also starred in The Meg, might have the more complicated role keeping us in the dark about her character’s true motives.

The Visitor will hit digital and VOD on October 7th before landing on Epix this December.

When Robert and his wife Maia move to her childhood home, he discovers an old portrait of his likeness in the attic – a man referred to only as ‘The Visitor’. Soon he finds himself descending down a frightening rabbit hole in an attempt to discover the true identity of his mysterious doppelgänger, only to realize that every family has its own terrifying secrets.
