‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ Teaser Sees Evil Light Up The Skies

Amazon Studios has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. In a couple of months they’ll finally start to reap the rewards, but for the next few weeks they’ll be pushing the Hell out of it. Not only will there be a major panel at Comic-Con later this month, but today brings a new 60-second teaser that takes us back to Middle-earth.

Set thousands of years before Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, The Rings of Power takes place in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Second Age, where an alliance of men and elves faces the emergence of the greatest of evils, Sauron.

Familiar characters do play crucial roles, including Robert Aramayo as Elven leader Elrond, Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, and Maxim Baldry as Isildur.  Owain Arthur, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Nazanin Boniadi, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and more also have roles in an extremely large ensemble.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power hits Prime Video on September 2nd.
